Can you work with our existing website?
There are literally dozens (if not hundreds) of ways to build websites, none necessarily better than any other. However, most web designers find the methods/systems that work best for them and develop their skillset within that "comfort zone" to best serve their clients. ATHN.TK builds exclusively with two Content Management Systems (CMS): Squarespace and Adobe Business Catalyst. The former for the vast majority of our websites and the latter for larger or more complex projects. We chose these two CMS after years of vetting because they allow for the fastest development cycles and are the easiest for our clients to use and maintain.

If your website is constructed with a different system and you choose to work with ATHN.TK, we will move you over to either Squarespace or Adobe Business Catalyst. This allows us to use all the tools in our repertoire. And we're confident that you'll ultimately agree that Squarespace or Adobe Business Catalyst are better platforms for your website.

How does the website process work?
At ATHN.TK we refuse to just dive right in, we insist on careful and thoughtful planning and collaboration prior to initiating a website project. The process generally follows these steps:

• Initial meeting to listen to you. We ask lots of questions to get a clear picture of your goals and answer any questions that you may have.
• We create the first draft of your website and walk you through it to receive feedback.
• ATHN.TK incorporates that feedback and shows you the improved website.
• We repeat the show-and-tell and feedback cycle until we arrive at the perfect website.
• We launch your website, provide a complimentary training session, and will continue to be available for future work or to answer questions.

What do I need to do on my end?
There are two main important things ATHN.TK needs from you:

1. Your Attention and Availability
   The faster you can respond to questions or requests the sooner we can deliver your website. We promise to be prompt and responsive on our end to facilitate the process.
2. Content, Content, Content
   When you hire us to build a website, we provide the design, development, and coding services. However, it is up to you to provide us the text, photos, and videos to create the website. ATHN.TK builds your website, but you need to provide the bricks, so to speak. If you need help with creating content, we are happy to help you with web writing, professional photography, and professional videography. But understand those are extra services and involve additional fees.
   

Does ATHN.TK do e-commerce?
Yes! If you are looking to use your website to generate direct revenue and sales, we can help. ATHN.TK builds beautiful e-commerce solutions for online businesses selling 200 SKUs or fewer. Due to the additional work required and increased complexity all e-commerce websites start at $4500.

What other possible fees should I be aware of?
The following fees may be applicable to your project:

• Domain Registration
  This secures your website address ("www.yourcompany.com") and costs approximately $10-$15 per year.
• Web Hosting
  Both Squarespace and Adobe Business Catalyst charge monthly fees for hosting your website. This can run from $8-$50 per month depending on your website's size and traffic.
  
• Rush Fees
  If you need a website very quickly, we may be able to accommodate you. ATHN.TK charges $500 for rush websites (in addition to regular website fees).
• Special Content/Services
  This may be professional photography, professional videography, web writing, stock photography, or other outsourced services.

How long does a website take?
This depends on the size and complexity of your website needs, but our general time frame is anywhere from one to three months from the initial meeting. Oftentimes it's much faster, but we like to be conservative with our estimates. If you need a website sooner, let us know and we may be able to help you.
